Letter: Democrats believe in justice, fairness | Opinion
Illinois voters think of your/our best interests when you vote: choose Democrats who believe in justice, fairness and compassion for all not just for the wealthy.
Democrats will support raising the minimum wage and work for adequate wages for all; protect unions’ right to organize workers; support fully our public schools and getting the best health care possible for all.
They will pay government pensions in Illinois as promised, pass yearly budgets and and pay our bills! They will look out for our environment and provide regulations when necessary. They will uphold civil and human rights.
JB Pritzker, the Democratic candidate for governor, will work for a fair, graduated income tax and prevent further increases in property taxes. Like the federal income tax, it will charge according to what one earns/has: The wealthier will pay more because they have more.
It does not increase taxes on the middle class as Bruce Rauner now claims in his untrue TV adds. Many states already have this in place to create the income they need.
