Honor 80, Honor 80 Pro with 160MP camera launched in China

Honor has launched two new smartphones in its home market – the Honor 80 and Honor 80 Pro. The latest batch of Honor’s top-of-the-line smartphones arrives with OLED displays, Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets, a 160MP main camera and more. Here’s everything you need to know about the Honor 80 and 80 Pro.
Honor 80, Honor 80 Pro: Price, availability
The Honor 80 comes at a starting price of CNY 2,699 (around Rs 30,900), while the Honor 80 Pro can be bought at onwards CNY 3,499 (around Rs 40,100). Both the Honor 80 models are available for pre-orders in China and are scheduled to go on sale from December 9.

Honor 80 features a curved 6.67-inch OLED display having a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels and 120Hz resolution. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 782G chipset powers the smartphone and comes with up to 12GB RAM and a maximum of 512GB of internal storage.
Meanwhile, the Honor 10 Pro gets a tad bigger 6.78-inch curved QHD OLED with a 120Hz refresh rate, and it is a 10-bit panel. Under the hood, the Pro comes with a much more powerful Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset with up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage.
The two smartphones run Android 12- based MagicOS 7.
Both the Honor 80 and 80 Pro boasts a 4080mAh battery with 66W charging support.
The two Honor 80 models share the same 160MP main camera paired with an f/1.8 aperture lens. However, the auxiliary sensors are different. The Honor 80 comes with an 8MP ultrawide, while the Pro has a 50MP ultrawide. The 2MP depth unit is common across both models.
On the front of the Honor 80, there is a 32MP camera tucked inside the punch hole cutout. Whereas the Honor 80 Pro has a pill-shaped cutout which houses a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor.
Honor 80 and Honor 80 Pro comes in black, green, blue and pink colours.
