Garmin has expanded its affordable smartwatch lineup in India with the addition of Vivosmart 5 in India. The smartwatch is said to have Garmin’s most advanced sleep tracking features, which includes sleep score. The touchscreen watch can be paired with both Android and Apple iOS devices.

Garmin Vivosmart 5 is priced at Rs 14,990 and is available on Garmin Brand Store, Amazon, Flipkart, and synergizer starting June 10, 2022. The small and medium variant is available in Mint colour whereas the small, medium and large variant comes in Black colour.
Garmin Vivosmart 5 design
The Vívosmart 5 has a rounded band which is designed to fit around the curves of the user’s wrist. It sports a bright display and claims to offer 66% more screen space with larger text and an easy-to-use touchscreen and button interface compared to its predecessor. The smartwatch has interchangeable bands that are swim and shower-proof. The Vivosmart 5 is said to have a battery life of up to 7 days.

Garmin claims that the smartwatch is designed for those who like to monitor their own health or wellbeing. The Vivosmart 5 features- at-a-glance health stats for Pulse Ox, 24/7 heart rate monitoring, Body Battery energy monitoring, all-day stress tracking, hydration and women’s health and more with no subscription. This means all these features are available free to users.
The smartwatch also tracks all the basic activities such as steps, calories burned and intensity minutes and comes with a variety of built-in sports modes for activities like walking, pool swimming, cycling, yoga, cardio and more.
Garmin’s Vivosmart 5 supports 24/7 Elevate heart rate monitoring feature can sample heart rate multiple times per second, 24-hours a day. The Vívosmart 5 offers abnormal high and low heart rate alerts and provide advanced sleep with a sleep score, amount of movement, stress levels and others.
Users can connect to a smartphone’s GPS to track distance, pace and speed during walks, runs and bike rides. It has a Fitness Age feature that allows users to achieve a number lower than their chronological age by increasing activity, reducing body fat and lowering resting heart rate.
The Vívosmart 5’ Safety and tracking features can be used with a press of the button to trigger any assistance alert. It sends a text message with the user’s location to designated emergency contacts.
The smartwatch allows its users to view text messages, calendar notifications, social media alerts, and more on the paired smartphone. It gives a personalized Morning Report which includes helpful information like sleep score and step goals.
